New Epstein File Release References Trump, DOJ Flags Unverified Claims

The US Department of Justice has released nearly 30,000 additional pages tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including records that reference President Donald Trump.

The release follows criticism from lawmakers and survivors over earlier disclosures that were heavily redacted.

The department said some newly released documents include unverified and sensational claims submitted to the FBI shortly before the 2020 election. Trump has not been accused of wrongdoing.

One document cites a 2020 email from a federal prosecutor alleging Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet multiple times in the 1990s. The DOJ did not confirm the claims.

Other records show Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club was subpoenaed in 2021 during the prosecution of Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence.

Trump criticized the release of photos involving public figures, warning that innocent associations risk being misrepresented. The document release is mandated under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
