The 900km pipeline pumps gas from Norway to Denmark via the Baltic Sea to Poland. According to Reuters, it also enables gas to flow to Denmark from Poland.
The link can transport 10 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas a year to Poland – equal to half of its gas consumption in 2021 – and three bcm a year from Poland to Denmark.
Reuters said that the project crosses the damaged Nord Stream pipelines around the island of Bornholm, off the coast of Denmark.
