Nvidia is working with major Wall Street asset managers on a potential funding package of up to $500 billion for artificial intelligence infrastructure, according to a person familiar with the matter cited by Reuters.

The effort comes as technology companies continue to increase spending on data centers and other infrastructure needed to support rapidly expanding AI services.

The Financial Times reported that the group could include BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners, Brookfield Asset Management, Goldman Sachs and KKR, alongside Nvidia and other financial firms.

The proposed financing would support large-scale infrastructure projects as demand for AI computing capacity continues to grow.

The report said combined AI spending by major technology companies could exceed $730 billion this year.

Nvidia shares fell more than 3% during Monday afternoon trading, while some of the financial firms declined to comment.

The potential deal follows Nvidia's $25 billion bond issuance announced in June, highlighting the company's broader effort to mobilize capital for the AI infrastructure boom.
