Barack and Michelle Obama addressed persistent divorce rumors in a new podcast episode released Wednesday, dismissing speculation as baseless and rooted in media misinterpretation.

“She took me back!” joked Barack Obama on IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson. The former first lady added, “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting on my man.”

The Obamas also discussed how public absence—such as Michelle’s choice to skip President Trump’s 2025 inauguration—fueled gossip. “People couldn’t believe I was saying no for any reason other than marriage trouble,” she said.

In a shift to broader cultural concerns, the former president warned about the neglect of young men. “If boys don’t feel seen, they’ll fall for narratives that blame others,” he said. Obama acknowledged Trump’s growing appeal to young men in 2024 and called for renewed investment in boys’ well-being to avoid harmful political fallout.
