Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed the Department of Justice to speak with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, in a renewed effort to uncover credible evidence tied to the disgraced financier’s sex trafficking network.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the outreach Tuesday, saying the DOJ “does not shy away from uncomfortable truths.” At Bondi’s direction, Blanche contacted Maxwell’s attorney to arrange a meeting.

This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was…
“No one is above the law — and no lead is off-limits,” Blanche posted on X. Maxwell’s attorney confirmed discussions are underway and said she will testify truthfully.
The move follows longstanding public pressure over the secrecy surrounding Epstein’s client list and prior DOJ inaction. Blanche reaffirmed that no evidence has been found in sealed FBI files to justify charges against uncharged individuals — but emphasized that any new information from Maxwell would be pursued.
