President Donald Trump is forging ahead with the large-scale military parade on June 14, the U.S. army’s 250th anniversary, brushing off concerns about the weather, according to the Associated Press.
Speaking at the White House Thursday night, Trump said, “Doesn’t matter… Doesn’t affect the tanks at all. Doesn’t affect the soldiers. They’re used to it.” The parade is expected to proceed rain or shine, though lightning could cause delays.

Meanwhile, millions are reportedly expected to join “No Kings” protests planned at 2,000 locations nationwide. The demonstrations, organized by Indivisible and other progressive groups, target Trump’s immigration policies, defiance of court orders, and broader attacks on civil rights. “The corruption has gone too far,” reads the protest’s website.
