Rand Paul Doesn’t Get The Big Growth Bill: Trump

President Donald Trump on Tuesday slammed Senator Rand Paul for opposing the administration’s sweeping Big, Beautiful, Bill (BBB), accusing the Kentucky Republican of offering “crazy” ideas and blocking progress without alternatives.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Paul “loves voting ‘no’ on everything” and claimed the senator “has very little understanding” of the bill. “This is a big growth bill,” Trump wrote, calling it a “big winner” that would deliver major economic gains.

He went further, saying Paul thinks obstruction is “good politics, but it’s not,” and claimed “the people of Kentucky can’t stand him.”

Paul told reporters he supports tax cuts and spending reductions in the bill but flatly rejects the proposed two-year, $5 trillion debt ceiling hike. He instead wants a short-term increase of about three months, arguing it would give conservatives leverage to demand real cuts.

“This is the largest increase in the debt ceiling in U.S. history,” Paul warned. “If you vote for it, you own the debt.”

The bill may still pass without him, but Paul isn’t backing down. Trump has grown increasingly frustrated with members of his own party who have signaled opposition to the bill, which he argues will fuel historic economic growth.
