Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of battery against a police officer, CNN reported.
Authorities said the 25-year-old artist was found in the Studio City area of Los Angeles early in the morning.
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Charles Miller, Hill charged at officers upon their arrival. He was taken into custody after being transported to a hospital for a possible overdose. He is currently being held at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys.

Lil Nas X, best known for his viral hit “Old Town Road” and later singles like “Industry Baby,” has often been a controversial figure in music and culture.
In past interviews, he has spoken openly about struggling with loss, drug use, and fame since his rise to stardom in 2018. His representatives have not yet commented on the arrest.
