Russia claimed on Monday that a Ukrainian drone attack targeted one of President Vladimir Putin’s residences in the Novgorod region, an allegation Ukraine swiftly rejected as false.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said air defenses intercepted 91 drones and no damage or casualties were reported.
He warned that Moscow is reviewing its negotiating position in ongoing peace talks and has identified targets for possible retaliatory strikes, though Russia would remain at the table.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the claim as a fabrication, saying it was aimed at undermining recent diplomatic efforts with the United States.
The accusation followed Zelensky’s meeting in Florida with President Donald Trump to discuss a revised peace framework.
Russian officials said Putin raised the issue in a call with Trump. The White House described the conversation as positive but offered no details.
