Russia has told President Donald Trump it is not sharing intelligence with Iran during the ongoing conflict, according to U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. The assurance came during a phone call Monday between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Witkoff said Russian officials denied allegations that Moscow is helping Tehran target American forces in the Middle East. He told CNBC that the United States must take Russia “at their word” while hoping the claims remain accurate.

The denial follows a report from MS Now citing U.S. officials who alleged that Russia had provided intelligence that could help Iran strike U.S. ships, aircraft, and military bases in the region.
Trump also said Putin expressed admiration for the progress of U.S. military operations against Iran. The president dismissed questions suggesting Russia might be assisting Tehran.
U.S. officials remain divided on the issue. Some say there is no clear evidence Russia is directly playing a strategic or combat role in the conflict.
