Samsung has begun taking pre-orders for its new ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. It features a depth of just 5.8mm, some 24% less than its previous three thinnest high-end handsets.

Weighing in at just 163 grammes, the launch comes several months ahead of Apple’s rumoured slimmed-down iPhone 17 Air model, which is expected to have similar dimensions.

The Galaxy S25 Edge goes on sale May 30.
