Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will visit Washington, D.C., on November 18–19 for talks with President Donald Trump — his first U.S. trip since 2018.
The visit marks a major step in restoring his global image following the fallout from the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, which strained Saudi-U.S. relations.
According to officials cited by Bloomberg and Reuters, the two leaders are expected to sign several trade, investment, and possibly defense agreements.

The defense pact could come through an executive order, similar to the recent U.S. guarantee extended to Qatar after Israel’s strike on a Hamas compound in Doha. Riyadh also signed a defense pact with Pakistan last month.
Talks will likely include discussions on Saudi-Israeli normalization, a process that was underway before the 2023 Hamas attacks reignited regional conflict. The meeting underscores Trump’s renewed diplomatic push in the Middle East.
