A bipartisan Senate inquiry is seeking information about FBI Director Kash Patel's alleged use of government resources, according to the report.
The review was prompted by concerns over Patel's reported personal use of an FBI aircraft and the agency's decision to purchase BMW sport utility vehicles.
The inquiry follows multiple reports alleging that officials in President Donald Trump's administration may have used government assets for personal purposes.
According to the report, the investigation is still in its early stages, and senators are seeking additional information before determining whether further action is warranted.
The review is expected to examine the justification for the reported aircraft use and vehicle purchases, as well as whether the spending complied with applicable federal rules and policies.
