Two detainees were killed and another injured after a suspected sniper opened fire at a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas on Monday morning. The shooter, identified as a lone gunman, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a nearby rooftop.
The victims, who were being escorted into the facility for processing and repatriation, were struck near the secure entryway. Authorities said no ICE officers were harmed.

Dallas police responded to the incident around 6:40 a.m. local time and confirmed one victim died at the scene while two others were taken to the hospital, where a second later died.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed “multiple injuries and fatalities.” Vice President JD Vance called for an end to attacks on ICE, while Attorney General Ken Paxton vowed to combat the rising threat of violence against federal law enforcement.
