A deadly shooting incident in Midland, Texas, left one person dead and multiple others injured before authorities confirmed that the suspected gunman was found dead following an hours-long standoff with law enforcement.

The violence began early Friday morning when gunfire erupted in southeast Midland.

The incident concluded after tactical law enforcement teams surrounded a veterinary clinic where the suspect had barricaded himself.
