So you thought that a 312-vote Electoral College victory, an improbable popular-vote triumph, a flip of the U.S. Senate and, as of this writing, retention of a GOP House majority settled matters?
You thought common sense and true normalcy would return to government, society, and the culture?
As if.
Don’t kid yourselves. The least intelligent, least articulate, and most incompetent presidential candidate ever may have failed to attain the Democrats’ customary deep blue state-fueled popular majority.
But the reality is that America remains a deeply divided, essentially 50-50 nation. Meaning that:
- Millions out there still consider the “right” to snuff babies’ lives out in the womb to preserve women’s careers and hook-up culture more important than getting married and raising a family. (Note: Six of nine state referenda establishing late-term abortion as a constitutional right passed, half in deep-red states, with only a supermajority requirement narrowly saving Florida.)
- Millions more still think men can be women and women men, and members of the same sex can be “married.” Sophists and groomers will keep terrorizing “misgendering” employers and fellow workers and “trans/homophobic” politicians; pushing to mutilate children; and infiltrating schools and public spaces with propaganda, pornography, and drag queen stories.
- Some 19% of Americans will habitually puff on legal weed, damaging young brains and endangering public safety, a gateway to the fentanyl poisoning a generation.
- Repeat criminals will continue to be coddled by Soros-loyal local prosecutors.
- Untold millions of resource-sapping, job-absorbing, woman and children-terrorizing illegal aliens, including hundreds of thousands of conceded criminals and misplaced minors, will remain in this country, protected by courts and state/local “sanctuary” policies despite promises of a mass deportation.
- Climate-change crazies will keep gluing themselves to pavements and vandalizing art advocating for inefficient, unreliable, outrageously expensive, grid-destabilizing, landscape-despoiling renewables and seek to take away your cars, stoves, steaks, and more.
- Antisemitism, diversity pledges, and other far-left ideologies will keep universities a hellscape for non-protected classes and independent thought.
- Trillions of dollars of counterproductive, inflation-inducing spending pushed through under the Biden administration will keep flooding the economy.
- And the commanding heights of the media, entertainment, corporate America, and the Uniparty will remain controlled by elites who hate Donald Trump and his 74+ million voters – and will seek to censor, cancel, deplatform, disbar, and even “de-bank” you, while engaging in systematic gaslighting and disinformation.
And it’s not just the ever-present Big-Blue 50%. The venal, vile, violent and disruptive ruling class representing them recognizes the threat the 2024 election presents to their grip on power. They feel cornered – but came out of the vote already geared up to lead another “resistance” movement with a fury the public cannot even begin to imagine.
Just consider the barrage that commenced within mere hours of the GOP’s across-the-board victory:
- The failed standard-bearer in her day-after concession speech: “In our nation, we owe loyalty not to a president or a party, but to the Constitution of the United States, and loyalty to our conscience and to our God.” (Translation: the new administration is not and will not be loyal to the Constitution, conscience or God and therefore her side won’t be a loyal opposition. Points punctuated by no fewer than 20 repetitions of the term “fight” or “fighting.”)
- The attorney general of New York, initiator of the wave of extra-legal lawfare assaults against the now-president-elect: “(M)y office and I… have been preparing for a potential second Trump administration, and I am ready to do everything in my power to ensure our state and nation do not go backwards.”
- Democratic governors rushing in behind her to pledge their own Resistance fealty, with carefully coordinated talking points regarding the full spectrum of radical priorities: Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta of deficit-ridden California: a special legislative session will devote scarce resources to “protect civil rights, reproductive freedom, climate action, and immigrant families.” Incoming Washington Governor Bob Ferguson: “We’ve been working for months to prepare for another Trump term” and “take on unconstitutional assaults on your reproductive rights, access to health care, and civil rights.” Illinois’ J.B. Pritzker: “I wasn’t unprepared” for “the damage Trump may attempt to cause. We’ve enshrined reproductive rights, built a path to a clean energy future, reaffirmed labor rights, invested in tech, and more….You come for my people, you come through me.” (Given that it would be difficult to get around the portly hotel heir.) Martha Healey of Massachusetts: “(E)very tool in the toolbox has got to be used” to oppose deportations.
- The ACLU, referencing 434 legal challenges during The Donald’s first term: “The Trump administration’s anti-liberty and fundamentally anti-American policies will be met with the full firepower of the ACLU” (This regarding a president-elect subjected to two near-miss assassination attempts.)
- The Washington Post, quoting approvingly an EPA employee on planned Deep State revolt: “(S)he and her co-workers are focused on how to make sure the new administration does not walk back environmental regulations achieved under Biden….”
- Commentator Dave Rubin highlighting “CNN (in the person of Van Jones), MSNBC, and The View all calling for online censorship as they lose control.”
- And via the Boston Herald, Bay Staters’ unhinged reactions to Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton’s common-sense objections to males in female sports: “transphobic nonsense,” anti-trans bigotry,” “abhorrent,” “hate speech.”
So if you think the battle was won with last Tuesday’s victory, think again. And prepare for a prolonged siege of renewed lawfare, forum-shopped court challenges, scorched-earth rhetoric, media gaslighting, tech censorship, Deep State defiance, and Uniparty vetoes of promised reform.
Because just based on the Day After the Big Day, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
