A new $1 coin featuring President Donald Trump has gone on sale as part of commemorations for America’s 250th anniversary, according to the U.S. Mint and the Associated Press.

The gold-colored coin depicts Trump on the front, while the reverse carries the Great Seal of the United States. The design was approved this year by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts. Trump previously called the idea unusual but said he was honored by the tribute.

The coin has generated criticism because federal law generally prohibits putting the image of a living president on U.S. currency. However, the Treasury secretary has authority in certain circumstances to approve commemorative coinage.

The Mint is selling rolls of 25 coins for $61 and bags of 100 for $154.50. Some special coins struck on July 4 are randomly included in orders.

According to the report, households initially face a two-order limit, with that restriction scheduled to end Thursday afternoon.
