The ongoing conflict with Iran has revealed a series of new U.S. military technologies, highlighting advances in artificial intelligence, missiles, drones, and naval capabilities.
According to reports from Axios and The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. military has used Anthropic’s Claude AI to assist with battlefield operations. AI tools have helped analyze intelligence, process documents, and identify objects in drone surveillance feeds.
In a historic first, long-range Precision Strike Missiles (PrSMs) were used in combat during Operation Epic Fury, providing an unrivaled deep strike capability.

The war has also marked the first combat use of Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM) and the Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System (LUCAS) drones. The missiles are designed for long-range precision attacks, while the LUCAS drone provides a low-cost strike option based on designs similar to Iranian Shahed drones.
The F-35 fighter jet also achieved a milestone. Israel’s F-35I reportedly shot down an Iranian aircraft for the first time in the aircraft’s combat history.
Meanwhile, a U.S. Navy submarine sank an Iranian warship with a Mk 48 torpedo, marking the first such attack by an American submarine since World War II.
