President Donald Trump is staking his presidency and the GOP’s future on rapid, lightly regulated growth in artificial intelligence, deepening his alliance with tech billionaires and major AI firms.

Executives such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praise Trump’s approach, saying it has “saved the AI industry.” The White House argues that AI will boost worker productivity and create new jobs in manufacturing and energy.
But the strategy carries political risks. MAGA figures, including Steve Bannon, warn AI could wipe out working-class jobs and accuse Trump of embracing “crony capitalism.”
Public skepticism is rising, especially among young Americans. If AI-driven growth fails to materialize quickly, Republicans could face a major backlash.
