President Donald Trump said the release of thousands of photos from government files on Jeffrey Epstein risks unfairly damaging the reputations of people with no link to Epstein’s crimes.

The disclosures included photos of former President Bill Clinton and several celebrities. None have been accused of wrongdoing related to Epstein.

Trump said Epstein moved in elite social circles and many people crossed paths with him at public events. He warned that releasing images without context could wrongly implicate innocent individuals. Trump added that while public figures can withstand scrutiny, others may not.
The Justice Department said releases will continue on a rolling basis, citing the need to redact victim information.
