President Donald Trump condemned the deadly office shooting in Manhattan that left four people dead, including an NYPD officer, calling it a “senseless act of violence.”
“I have been briefed on the tragic shooting that took place in Manhattan, a place that I know and love,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I trust our Law Enforcement Agencies to get to the bottom of why this crazed lunatic committed such a senseless act.”
Trump extended condolences to the victims’ families, writing, “My heart is with the families of the four people who were killed, including the NYPD Officer, who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
The president is expected to return to the United States from Scotland later tonight.
