President Donald Trump has sharply criticized the United Kingdom and France for refusing to join U.S.-led military action against Iran, warning that America may not support allies in future conflicts.
In posts on Truth Social, Trump accused France of blocking military overflights and said both countries failed to assist in securing the Strait of Hormuz.

The president urged affected nations to take responsibility for reopening the critical oil route, suggesting they rely less on U.S. intervention. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth echoed the stance, saying allies must contribute more to regional security.
Tensions come as Iran continues to disrupt shipping in the strait, a key global energy corridor. Trump maintained that U.S. objectives in weakening Iran’s military are progressing.
The remarks highlight growing strain within NATO, as European allies remain reluctant to engage directly in the conflict despite rising global economic and security concerns.
