President Donald Trump addressed the Israeli Knesset on Monday, declaring, “The hostages are back!” after brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

In a speech marked by applause and fanfare, Trump hailed a “new beginning” for Israel and praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “great leader.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to “peace through strength” and said his “personality is all about stopping wars.”

Netanyahu thanked Trump for his staunch support — from recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital to military operations against Iran and the Houthis — calling his presidency a “turning point in history.”

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana lauded Trump as the “greatest friend in Israel’s history” and vowed to nominate him for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid also credited Trump with saving Israeli lives and ending the war. Trump affirmed the Israel-Hamas conflict is over, calling it “a great day for peace.”
