The Trump administration is weighing how to respond to a House effort to compel the release of all Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein. A meeting reportedly set for Wednesday was to include Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), one of the lawmakers leading the push for transparency.
The files could reveal years of investigative material into Epstein’s sex trafficking network, potentially exposing new details not yet shared with Congress.

The issue has divided Republicans, with some supporting full disclosure while others urge caution amid political sensitivities.
The House initiative, led by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), is expected to secure its 218th signature Wednesday, allowing a floor vote on the matter.
Two women who say they survived Epstein’s abuse are expected to attend the signing ceremony.
