President Donald Trump urged Republicans to rally behind their party’s leadership as key House committees begin work this week on what he described as “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” Trump praised GOP committee chairs Jason Smith (Tax), Brett Guthrie (Energy), and Glenn “GT” Thompson (Agriculture), calling them men who “truly strive to do what is right for America.”

He warned Republicans to reject Democratic amendments, citing his new “Most Favored Nations Policy” that he says will slash drug prices by 50 to 90 percent. Trump claimed this policy will have sweeping positive effects on the legislation. He added that incoming tariff revenue will further strengthen the bill. Promising “great things” from his Middle East visit, Trump declared the bill a crucial step toward what he called a new “Golden Age of America.”
