President Trump dismissed Russian President Vladimir Putin's allegations that Ukraine launched a drone attack on his residence, stating American intelligence found no evidence to support the claim.
Speaking aboard Air Force One on January 4, Trump said investigators determined the incident "had nothing to do with this," according to the Kyiv Independent.
Russia claimed Ukraine launched 91 drones toward a Putin residence on December 29, with Putin personally raising the allegation during a phone call with Trump.
Q: You said you were really angry with Zelenskyy if he was the one who conducted that strike on Putin's residence

TRUMP: I don't believe that strike happened
Q: But you said you believed Putin. Why did you believe him?

The president initially expressed anger before reviewing additional intelligence. The CIA subsequently assessed that Ukraine did not target Putin's residence, confirming Kyiv's immediate denial.
Ukrainian officials characterized the timing of Russia's accusation as deliberate, coming as Washington and Kyiv coordinated an updated peace framework.
Trump reiterated his commitment to ending the war, noting that 25,000 to 30,000 soldiers are being killed monthly between both sides.
