Speaking to reporters outside the White House ahead of a trip to Scotland, President Donald Trump said he has not considered granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell but didn’t rule it out. “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I have not thought about,” he said.
Today, I met with Ghislaine Maxwell, and I will continue my interview of her tomorrow. The Department of Justice will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of trafficking underage girls for financier Jeffrey Epstein. Her case remains politically sensitive, as top officials, including Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, met with Maxwell and her legal team for a second consecutive day in Florida.
Asked whether Maxwell can be trusted to tell the truth, Trump sidestepped, saying Blanche is “a professional lawyer” who has “been through things like this before.”
The remarks have fueled speculation that Maxwell’s case remains on the radar at the highest levels, though no formal action has been announced.
