Trump Says He Will Meet Xi In China In November

Trump said the discussions resulted in a new joint trade arrangement, while the two sides seek to maintain stability in their economic relationship.

U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet again in November at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in China, followed by the G20 summit in Florida in December.

The plans were announced as Xi concluded a three-day state visit to Washington, where the two leaders held a private 90-minute meeting covering trade, the Middle East, Ukraine and the Korean Peninsula.

Trump said the discussions resulted in a new joint trade arrangement, while the two sides seek to maintain stability in their economic relationship.

During the visit, Trump showed Xi historical U.S. documents at the National Archives, including the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Xi also invited Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to visit China.

The planned November and December meetings would mark further high-level engagement between the leaders of the world’s two largest economies during 2026, following their latest talks in Washington.
