In a televised address, he stated that Iran’s naval and missile capabilities have been significantly weakened. Trump signaled further escalation if talks fail, including potential attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.

He also urged U.S. allies to take greater responsibility in securing the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil route disrupted by the conflict.
Despite the president’s optimism, markets remained uneasy. Oil prices rose after the speech, reflecting continued uncertainty. According to U.S. Central Command, thousands of targets have already been struck.
Iran has denied U.S. claims of seeking a ceasefire, and attacks in the Gulf region continued. Critics, including Democratic leaders, questioned the administration’s strategy, citing economic strain and lack of clarity on long-term goals.
