In a recent post on Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed details of a "great call" with the Acting President of South Korea, Han Duck-soo, discussing a range of economic and military issues. Trump highlighted South Korea's "tremendous and unsustainable surplus," tariffs, shipbuilding, and their large-scale purchase of U.S. He also referenced a joint venture in an Alaska pipeline and criticized former U.S. President Joe Biden for ending military payment agreements that began during Trump's first term. These payments, Trump claimed, amounted to billions of dollars.

Trump suggested that negotiations were progressing for a "great deal" beneficial to both countries, with South Korea's team on its way to the U.S. He also mentioned ongoing talks with other nations, including China, which he believes is eager to reach a deal but unsure how to begin.
