Trump Rebukes India Over Russia Ties, Hikes Tariffs

President Donald Trump announced a substantial hike in tariffs on Indian imports, citing India’s continued energy trade with Russia. In a statement on Truth Social, Trump accused India of profiting off the Ukraine war by reselling Russian oil on the open market.

He criticized India’s indifference to Russian aggression, stating, "They don’t care how many people in Ukraine are being killed."

Trump said the new tariffs are intended to hold India accountable and curb its support for Moscow.
