Trump Slams UK PM Starmer Over Refusal To Back Iran War

President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer

President Donald Trump criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for refusing to support Washington’s military action against Iran, raising concerns about strain in the long-standing US-UK alliance.

Trump said Starmer had “not been helpful” and expressed surprise that Britain declined to stand with the United States. He described the partnership as fundamentally changed, calling it “a much different kind of relationship” than in the past.

The president suggested that while Britain’s backing would have been welcomed, the United States no longer relies on London to carry out its Middle East operations.
