President Donald Trump signed an executive order that suspends access to federal buildings for lawyers from the prominent law firm Wilmer Hale. The law firm is former home to lawyer Robert Mueller who led the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. elections. The order also prohibits federal agencies from hiring employees from the firm without a waiver and mandates the review and potential termination of any contracts between the firm and the government.

This is the fifth such executive order targeting a major law firm with ties to investigations that have scrutinized Trump. The White House claims that Wilmer Hale has undermined justice, pointing specifically to Mueller's work at the firm. Wilmer Hale has been involved in several high-profile cases, including representing Twitter in investigations related to Trump’s social media data.
