President Donald Trump has escalated rhetoric against Iran, warning of potential strikes on key infrastructure, including bridges and power plants, reported by multiple outlets. In a social media post, Trump said Iran’s leadership “knows what has to be done,” while signaling further military action.

The report said an airstrike near Tehran recently destroyed a major bridge, killing eight people, according to Iranian state media. Iran also claimed to have shot down a U.S. fighter jet, though no confirmation has been provided.

Tensions remain high as Iran continues to disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil route. Trump reiterated that military operations would intensify over the coming weeks.

Iranian officials responded defiantly, rejecting U.S. claims about ceasefire talks and criticizing Washington’s threats.

Meanwhile, international concern is growing. Legal experts warned that targeting civilian infrastructure could violate international law. Efforts at the United Nations to address the conflict have stalled due to opposition from major powers.
