President Donald Trump has once again defended his decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles, claiming the city would be "burning to the ground" without federal intervention.

In a Truth Social post, Trump alleged that “25,000 houses burned to the ground in L.A.” due to what he called the “incompetence” of Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass.

Trump also criticized the state’s permitting process, asserting that federal permits for rebuilding are nearly complete while city and state efforts are “bungled.” The president’s remarks come as tensions rise over immigration enforcement and protest responses.
