President Donald Trump is reportedly considering replacing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after growing frustration with her recent congressional testimony, according to NBC News.
Lawmakers said Trump was particularly upset over Noem’s claim during hearings that the president approved a $220 million advertising campaign urging migrants in the United States to voluntarily leave the country.

Trump told Reuters he had “never knew anything about it,” suggesting a disagreement over who authorized the spending.
Noem faced intense questioning from both Republican and Democratic lawmakers during two days of hearings. Several senators criticized her handling of the issue and broader leadership decisions at the Department of Homeland Security.
Despite the criticism, a DHS spokesperson defended Noem’s record, saying the department has strengthened border security and reduced violent crime.
According to NBC News, potential replacements under discussion include Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma and Sen. Steve Daines of Montana.
