A tense exchange between Tucker Carlson and Senator Ted Cruz has spotlighted divisions among Republicans over U.S. involvement in Iran.
In a viral clip from an interview released Tuesday, Carlson confronts Cruz for calling for regime change in Iran without knowing basic facts about the country, including its population and ethnic makeup.
"You’re a senator who’s calling for the overthrow of the government and you don’t know anything about the country!" Carlson exclaimed.

The clash comes as President Donald Trump insists Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons, brushing off criticisms from allies like Carlson. The former Fox News host has warned against involvement in Israel’s conflict with Iran, calling it a betrayal of Trump’s “America First” stance.
The discord, he claims, is fracturing Trump’s base. Marjorie Taylor Greene backed Carlson, and Rep. Thomas Massie co-sponsored a bipartisan bill requiring congressional approval before military action against Iran. Steve Bannon also warned of a MAGA split.
