Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, acknowledged on Wednesday, that a reporter's inclusion in a Signal chat with senior Trump administration officials about planned Yemen strikes was a "mistake." During a House Intelligence Committee hearing, Gabbard confirmed the president and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz had already addressed the error, stating no classified information was shared. This is what she said during the hearing:

The conversation was candid and sensitive, but as the president and national security adviser stated, no classified information was shared. There were no sources, methods, locations or war plans that were shared.

Jeffrey Goldberg, editor in chief of The Atlantic, strongly rebutted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s dismissal of his access to war plans and published the entire thread. However, White House Press Secretary Katherine Leavitt has echoed the same sentiment as Gabbard, staying firm on the stance that no war plans have been leaked.
