Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk says the organization is preparing to back Vice President JD Vance if he runs for president in 2028, calling the effort “in the works” during an interview on The Megyn Kelly Show.
The endorsement would be a major boost for Vance, widely viewed as the leading heir to Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

Kirk noted that her late husband, Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, strongly supported Vance during Trump’s 2024 VP selection and intended to help propel him toward a future White House bid.
She stressed, however, that the group’s immediate priority is next year’s midterms and celebrating Trump’s return to office.
While Vance is seen as the frontrunner for 2028, other Republicans are positioning themselves, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Trump himself has floated the idea of a future Vance-Rubio ticket.
