The U.S. manufacturing activity strengthened in July, reaching its fastest pace in more than four years and surpassing market expectations, according to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), as reported by Dow Jones.
Employment returned to expansion for the first time in 33 months, with the index climbing to 52.8. Meanwhile, the prices index remained in expansion territory but eased from June's level.
