U.S. Says More Than 80 Iranian Targets Hit In New Strikes

The U.S. military has completed a new round of strikes against Iran, targeting more than 80 sites linked to the country's military infrastructure. /p>

According to the report, U.S. Central Command said the operation struck air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar installations, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats operating near the Strait of Hormuz.

The report said the latest military action followed projectile attacks on three commercial tankers in the strategic waterway.

The Trump administration also revoked a license that had permitted certain Iranian oil sales, citing Tehran's actions as a violation of the existing ceasefire framework.

According to the report, CENTCOM said U.S. forces remain prepared to respond if Iran fails to comply with the agreement.

Iran's senior military leadership condemned the strikes as an act of aggression and vowed a strong response, while insisting it would not accept U.S. interference in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.

The report said the ceasefire remains fragile amid continuing regional tensions.
