President Donald Trump is set to host the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the White House on Friday to finalize a landmark peace deal. The agreement includes a strategic infrastructure corridor through Armenia, granting the United States exclusive development rights.
The route will be named the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).
White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly said TRIPP will ensure connectivity between Armenia and Azerbaijan while respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The TRIPP corridor is a geopolitical land grab.

It provides exclusive U.S. control over a vital transit route at Russia and Iran’s doorstep, with pipelines, trade, and alliances flowing through Washington.https://t.co/8ev7pOQUOB#TRIPPcorridor #Geopolitics #SouthCaucasus… pic.twitter.com/kKwv0qKbqi
The U.S. will lease the land from Armenia and hand construction and management to a private consortium. Working groups will implement the roadmap in the coming months.
The trilateral deal also includes disbanding the Minsk Group, ending a decades-long mediation framework co-chaired by the U.S., France, and Russia.

The Trump administration sees this as a blow to Russian influence and a boost for U.S. economic interests in the South Caucasus.
