Non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their families have been ordered out of several Gulf states.
Some American embassies have closed, including in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh was struck by two drones, causing minor damage.

President Donald Trump said U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran were aimed at dismantling Tehran’s missile and nuclear capabilities.
Six U.S. troops have been killed and 18 wounded. With airspace closures complicating travel, officials warned that evacuation options, particularly from Israel, remain extremely limited.
