A drone strike hit the United Arab Emirates’ major oil hub in Fujairah on Monday, sparking a large fire and forcing a halt to oil loading operations. Authorities said no injuries were reported. The Fujairah Media Office said Civil Defense teams responded quickly and are working to contain the blaze.
According to Reuters, the attack forced a suspension of activity at the important bunkering port. The strike follows another drone incident and fire at the same facility on Saturday.

The report said Fujairah is a critical energy hub because it allows the UAE to export oil without passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The port connects to the Habshan–Fujairah pipeline, which can transport up to 1.8 million barrels of oil per day.
The attack comes amid rising tensions after the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28. Iran has warned that U.S. interests in the region could become targets.
Oil prices rose following the attack. Brent crude climbed to about $106 per barrel.
