The joint operation, carried out by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR), targeted the missile at the Kapustin Yar testing site in Astrakhan Oblast.
The Oreshnik, reportedly capable of carrying nuclear warheads and reaching ranges of up to 5,000 kilometers, was first used by Russia in a strike on Dnipro in November 2024.
