Ukraine has intensified drone and sabotage attacks on Russian air bases and naval assets this month, aiming to reduce Moscow’s ability to strike Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian intelligence agencies say long-range drones and covert teams have hit multiple Russian aircraft in occupied Crimea and inside Russia.
Ukrainian Defense Intelligence reported that two Su-30 fighter jets were damaged in a sabotage operation at Russia’s Lipetsk airfield. Russia has not commented, and the damage could not be independently verified.

In Crimea, Ukrainian security officials said drones struck aircraft at Belbek air base, destroying a Su-27 loaded for combat.
The base was reportedly weakened days earlier by attacks on radar and air defense systems. Other recent strikes damaged aircraft at Saky and Kacha airfields.
Ukraine also claimed a sea drone attack critically damaged a Russian submarine in Novorossiysk.
Analysts say the steady loss of aircraft and submarines could limit Russia’s capacity to launch missile and bomb attacks.
