Russia and Ukraine will join a new round of U.S.-mediated peace talks on Feb. 17 and 18 in Geneva, marking the third such session this year, according to officials from both countries. The talks come as the war approaches its fifth year and follow earlier meetings held in Abu Dhabi.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Moscow’s actions show it is not serious about a ceasefire.
The upcoming talks face added skepticism after Russia changed its lead negotiator to a hardline Kremlin aide linked to failed 2022 negotiations.
Zelenskyy said the outcome now largely depends on whether President Donald Trump is willing to apply sustained pressure on Moscow to force meaningful concessions.
