Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Friday that his country faces one of the most difficult moments in its history as the United States presses Kyiv to accept a 28-point peace plan drafted by President Donald Trump.

The proposal would require Ukraine to cede more territory, shrink its military, and abandon its NATO ambitions in exchange for ending the war.
Zelensky said Ukraine is under its heaviest pressure yet and may soon face a choice between “losing dignity” or risking the loss of a key U.S. partner.
He vowed to work “calmly” with Washington and European allies, stressing that Kyiv will not give Moscow any excuse to claim Ukraine is refusing diplomacy.

European leaders have publicly backed Ukraine since the plan’s details emerged, insisting no agreement should be made without Kyiv’s consent.
Zelensky said the greatest danger is a future “without freedom, dignity, or justice.”
