The US Embassy in Israel has authorized non-essential staff and family members to depart due to rising security concerns, according to CNN.
The State Department said personnel may leave because of potential safety risks and advised Americans to consider departing while commercial flights remain available.

The move comes as the USS Gerald Ford carrier strike group is set to arrive in the region amid a US military buildup tied to possible action against Iran.
