The United States and Saudi Arabia carried out joint airstrikes on sites in eastern Iraq used by Iran-backed militias, according to the U.S. military.
The operation was aimed at weakening the groups' capabilities following a rise in attacks threatening American forces and Saudi energy infrastructure.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes came after more than 30 attempted drone attacks over three days and an alleged surprise missile attack by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The command said the targeted locations were used for logistics and weapons storage by militant groups.
The Saudi Ministry said its forces conducted precise strikes in self-defence as part of the joint operation.
Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthi threats continue to disrupt security and shipping in the Red Sea region.
